One of our clients, an international publisher of scientific and medical content based in Basel, is offering the position of
in which you will develop, operate, maintain, and secure IT infrastructure services.
Your tasks
This role includes the general administration of Office 365/ AD/ Azure and the management of virtual servers (EMC VNXe/ VMware). You will monitor infrastructure and services, investigate threats, and ensure that systems are effectively backed up and data is secured. The maintenance and operation of Windows Servers, Terminal Servers, IIS webservers including the synchronization of product archives, and operation security tools such as Microsoft ATP security suite (Defender, Azure ATP, Cloud ATP), Imperva WAF and Cisco firewalls also fall within your purview. Furthermore, you will act as 3rd level support for the Service Desk including possible visits in other countries.
Your profile
You've completed a Swiss IT apprenticeship or a Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline, and bring at least two years' experience in a similar infrastructure position to the table. You possess good experience in Active Directory and Office 365 administration, PowerShell scripting, and working with Azure cloud infrastructure and virtual servers (Cloud based and VMWare). Not only experience in securing systems and infrastructure, but specifically with Microsoft ATP suite, Incapsula WAF, and Cisco Firewall products is beneficial. Your professional qualifications also include Microsoft certification related to our customer's key technologies and services. In addition to that, your readiness for on-call service is required, and very good command of German and English (both written and spoken) is indispensible.
