The role



  • Full operational end-to-end responsibility to manage and support as well as identifying and implementing continuous optimizations on datacenter, branch office, virtual networks in the cloud as well as Site-to-Site VPN connectivity and Network Load Balancers On Meraki.

  • Responsible for all support & operational aspects and continuous optimization & improvement of all global datacenter infrastructure network equipment (Cisco UCS, switches, load balancers).

  • Responsible for all support & operational aspects and continuous optimization & improvement of global cloud networks and cloud-native load balancers

  • Responsible for all support & operational aspects and continuous optimization & improvement of global branch office wired & wireless network stacks (Cisco/Meraki)

  • Responsible for all support & operational aspects for Site-to-Site VPN connectivity

  • Responsible for the monitoring, support & operations and escalation handling of ISP lines at various sites worldwide

  • Responsible for the definition & setup of accurate network monitoring, to support, manage and further optimize the monitoring eco-system Paessler PRTG

  • Ensure that all in-house managed and controlled network device configurations are backup and valid

  • Manage revision controls and changes on all in-house managed network devices

  • Improve stability by ensuring that the network equipment’s software/firmware versions are standardized and current.

  • Serves as a main point of contact on all operational Network matters

  • Ensure that the Service Level Agreement targets are met at all times

  • Follow the ITIL Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Access Management processes using ServiceNow

  • Engage in and support other teams to ensure that business’ Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) are met

  • Troubleshoot and resolve service outages as they occur and follow up with after action reviews and root cause analysis

  • Improve service availability and performance by continuously fine-tuning networks

  • Monitor and measure all global networks’ health and performance

  • Recognizes and identifies opportunities for improvement and lead the implementation in all areas of assigned responsibilities (e.g. QoS, Monitoring, Configuration Management etc.)

  • Identifies potential areas where existing Standard Operational Procedures and documentation require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and makes recommendations

  • Understand and operate within company policies and procedures

  • Work and collaborate with different teams and business units

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation, willing to work in shifts

  • Share knowledge within the team and help the knowledge repository to grow


What we need to see from you



  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a Technical Support role

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing LAN, WAN, Datacenter and Cloud Networks as well as Site-to-Site VPN connectivity

  • Minimum of 6+ years of proven experience as a Cisco Network Administrator

  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience with Site-to-Site VPN technologies

  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience with load balancing technologies

  • Experience with Meraki Wireless and wired environments and technologies

  • Experience with Cisco Nexus technologies

  • Experience with managing and fine-tuning networking QOS settings

  • Sound understanding of enterprise security concepts

  • Familiarity with Cloud and Cisco UCS networking concepts is a plus

  • Experience in supporting global networks

  • Sound understanding of enterprise security concepts

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication skills

  • Good command in English, further foreign languages are a plus

  • Cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) is a must

  • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) is beneficial

  • ITIL Service Management Foundation Certification is a plus.
