The Center for Development and Cooperation (NADEL) trains students and experienced experts for International Cooperation (IC) and is committed to a more intensive dialogue between research and practice for sustainable development. NADEL is hosted by the ETH Chair of Development Economics, which conducts research on drivers of economic and social development.
NADEL offers two training programs, a two-year full-time MAS program to start a career in International Cooperation and an extra occupational CAS program for mid-career experts in International Cooperation and other formats to promote learning for sustainable development.

Job description
As part of the NADEL team, you will be responsible for designing and teaching several courses according to your academic background and practical experience. As part of your work, you will also be involved in supporting our MAS and CAS students. You are expected to network within the ETH. You are also able to establish cooperations with various Swiss and international public and private organizations in order to integrate their practical experience into teaching. Approximately three quarters of your work will be dedicated to teaching and the related organizational and strategic tasks, and one quarter to scientific consulting and/or research.

Your profile
You have a university degree in natural sciences, engineering, social sciences or the humanities and at least three years professional experience in development cooperation. You have in-depth knowledge in selected areas of IC and are familiar with the instruments of IC. Furthermore, you have the experience or ability to carry out academic and practice-oriented teaching. You are fluent in spoken and written English and fluent in spoken German. A doctorate and additional academic achievements are advantageous. Initiative, teamwork and learning new things are important to you.
Employment at ETH Zurich is limited to a maximum of six years. Remuneration is in accordance with the ETH guidelines.
