Randstad Professionals is currently looking for a Logistics Specialist (medical device industry) who will be assigned an interesting challenge for a major client based in SELZACH.
This contract is an unique opportunity to join a major global group focusing on the Healthcare / Medical device sector. The initial assignment will start in February and will last until August 2020. Our client is a major name in the Medical Device arena.

Assignment overview
My client is looking for a project team member for Logistics, Transport and Trade Compliances topics.
The project is related to the move from Synthes Production site to Jabil of the locations Tuttlingen and Umkirch in Germany. This Job is the link between the local subject matter Experts (SME) and the project Management Team located in the USA.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Main contact (in English) for the US project Management team for Logistics, transport and trade compliance related questions
- Interact with the local Logistic teams (in perfect German) to cover all requested topics from the Core team containing
o SAP SD/MM related transactions for pick/pack/ship incl. ASN. No APO in place
o Identify current carriers and brokers used for import and Export
o Identify gaps in carrier/broker Mgmt compared to company standards and built them up before go live (e.g. contracts, SLA, due diligence)
o Prepare local team for transition with task list, processes and trainings
- Establish the weekly dashboard for the various weekly team meetings
- Join the weekly logistics, transportation, trade compliance and Core team meetings
- Act as translator from English to German and vice versa
Job profile:
- Educated in project management
- Skills in Import / Export processes (knows what a broker does, what a customs code and origin is)
- Worked several years with SAP (to pull data out of system where the local team knowledge ends)
- Excellent analytical skills for product calculation in Excel and to calculate root causes and prepare reports used after project go Live
Location:
- Location is DC Selzach (for knowledge transfer out of Wave 3) and trained staff
- Might travel to Tuttlingen/Umkirch (Germany) 1-2x per month, rest remotely
