Senior Product Specialist Consumables (Diabetes)

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB


 


Work within the Diabetes Advanced Insulin Management (AIM) Product Marketing team:              


 


To support the development and implementation of marketing programs that drive optimization of Medtronic Consumables and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) portfolio across EMEA


Support the management of our existing Consumables and CGM portfolio


Support the management of our existing MIP (Medtronic Implantable Pump) portfolio


To provide direct support to country organisations to enable implementation of strategies and marketing programs related to the AIM Consumables and CGM product portfolio


 


MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


 


Contribute to the development and execution of the marketing strategies and plans that drive market adoption and utilisation of Medtronic Consumables premium portfolio and SAP (Sensor Augmented Pump) systems across the EMEA region to ensure long term and yearly revenue targets are achieved


Design and lead the launch of the Consumables portfolio line extensions


Ensure the execution and delivery of product launch activities, international diabetes congresses, business reviews and any cross-functional initiatives that require the input of the AIM Product Marketing team


Work in collaboration with the M&S team (Marketing & Strategy) to develop Marketing campaigns and activities that align and meet the needs of the country field teams


 


Support the Business Performance team to:


Monitor consumables and CGM revenue and business data


Effectively analyse, segment and target the diabetes market


Provide accurate financial and unit forecasts


Measure the productivity of marketing campaigns


Deliver competitive landscape analysis and updates


 


Ensure that appropriate sales & marketing tools are provided to the country organisations


Facilitate country specific adaptation and implementation of key marketing strategies/tactics. Build and maintain relationships with local teams through close partnership


Support the development and update of product messaging, liaising with the clinical team to ensure the effective dissemination of new clinical results and associated claims


Be the Consumables, CGM and MIP product expert to the country organisations and to other functions / BU and ensure fast dissemination of information / product updates across the organisation


Work in partnership with supply chain, finance  as well as the country teams to accurately forecast product demand and monitor product availability


Be the primary point of contact within the EMEA region for any questions / initiatives / actions related to Consumables, CGM and MIP portfolios


Work with the Global Upstream & Downstream Marketing teams to identify customer unmet needs and market requirements for the definition of product specifications, for the planning and for the prioritization of new product development, for the development of creative concepts, messaging and toolkit


Ensure collaboration and business alignment across all cross functional Diabetes and marketing teams (AIM, Non-Intensive Diabetes Therapy (NDT), Digital, Market Development, Education as well as with the Business Performance, Clinical, Reimbursement, Pricing, PR, Regulatory and Legal teams) to provide holistic marketing strategies


JOB EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION


              


REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES


              


5 plus years in the healthcare industry working  in marketing or sales


Experience in leading Marketing projects and initiatives across Europe


Bachelor of Science, Marketing or related fields Diabetes and / or medical device experience


European product launch experience


Worked in an international environment and within cross-functional teams


Country Marketing experience 


Sales experience (optional)


 


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES


              


Outstanding communication / interpersonal skills


Ability to develop and influence relationships with global/local partners (sales and other regionally represented functions) and other functions


Strong organisational and time management skills


Strong project management experience


Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Fluent in English (both verbal and written) and second European language is a plus


Analytical skills including general understanding of business economics and financial measures


Methodical, accurate and accountable


Team player


Positive,can-do attitude


              


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


              


Willingness to travel in Europe (30%)
