The Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice works with companies across the digital device, software, IT services, TV, publishing, information services, entertainment and telecom sectors to make sense of the unrelenting velocity of technological and consumer change they face. We partner with clients to transform their industries, define winning business models, shape their value proposition and go-to-market approach, enhance their operational competitiveness, and create sustained advantage.

Role Profile

As an Expert Consultant, you will be integrated into a BCG team and leverage your deep expertise on projects that reshape businesses. You will be given end-to-end responsibility for large and complex “modules” within a BCG project. You will work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, and win buy-in for your recommendations, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex client issues. You will provide deep expertise and insight to clients and help build your expertise area within BCG.

• Play a leading role in the growth of BCG’s Center for Telco Networks through case execution, business development, and intellectual property creation




• Able to create awareness of BCG expertise and capabilities through participating in key Telco industry forums, publications, studies, tools, etc.




• Elevate our ability to deliver client impact by creating the next generation of IP and deepening our knowledge




• Engage with BCG's internal community on expertise and capabilities, with a strong focus on sharing knowledge and insight

Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

Your Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in Telco with distinctive knowledge in network technology or spectrum-related topics


• Successfully graduated from a university (Master or Ph.D.) in a relevant field of study


• Consulting experience, as well as advanced analytics or software engineering experience, is a plus 


• Collaborative working style and demonstrated strong teaming capabilities both internally and with clients


• Building trust and rapport with clients by understanding their business, relating to their experiences and empathizing with their challenges
