KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Be keen to join the team to build and develop the Swiss Data Practice capabilities and the broader Global Data Practice to support industry changing topics such as Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

  • Play a leading role to drive Business Development and Sales initiatives with existing and new clients in business and technical functions

  • Identify, evaluate and communicate opportunities to use data analytics to create business-value in wealth management and banking use-cases

  • Develop proposals for implementation and design of advanced analytics solutions and lead customer workshops and presentation of the proposed solutions

  • Mentor, lead and develop a team of data-scientists

  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations

  • Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through use of visual displays of quantitative information

  • Collaborate with business customers to understand needs, recommend strategy enhancements and deploy predictive analytics across multiple platforms

  • Present technical issues to non-technical audiences


EXPERIENCE



  • Master / PhD degree in Machine Learning, CS, Math, Physics, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines

  • Extensive knowledge of advanced analytics, data modeling and machine learning techniques

  • Practical experience with at least one of

    • programming/analytical tools (Python, R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)

    • cleaning and processing data (structured, unstructured)

    • data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik, D3, etc.)

    • data querying tools (SQL, DB2, Hive, Pig etc.)


  • Proven experience to deliver a full-lifecycle data-science project including articulating business questions, using mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer, translating technical/analysis results into business recommendations and measuring business impact

  • Knowledge of wealth management and banking industry - the main business functions / processes, understanding how data are processed and current business challenges

  • Experience and aptitude in customer-facing roles, especially with business stakeholders

  • Business development and (pre-)sales experience – identifying a client need, creating proposals, presenting to clients

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, willingness to teach others and learn new techniques

  • Consultancy experience is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple goals and deadlines

  • Fluency English, good German language skills nice to have

  • Flexibility to travel
