To strengthen our Burckhardt Compression Technical Support Team as well as our Education Campus as well as our we are looking for a

 

Technical Support Engineer / Technical Trainer (w, m)

 

As Technical Support Engineer you will support our customers, Burckhardt subsidiaries as well as Field Service Representatives in all technical aspects of reciprocating compressors. Together with our colleagues from our Burckhardt Compression Education Campus you will additionally be responsible for the preparation and execution of our technical training for customers and employees.

Your tasks:

• Supporting our field service representatives, during installation and commissioning, gas-trial and maiden voyage, corrective and preventive maintenance activities as well as trouble shooting interventions.


• Delivery of internal technical training for our employees


• Technical Support for customers and subsidiaries after hand-over of the compressor system to the customer.


• Support our Field Service in the training of field service representatives


• Preparation of technical training documents / presentations


• Supporting our sales team, service department and subsidiaries with coordination of installation, commissioning and overhaul schedules.


• Preparation and presentation of Compressor Operation and Maintenance training courses, delivered both in house in Winterthur or at customer sites.


• Approximately 50% of your time will be spend as Technical Support Engineer and 50% as Technical Trainer

 

You will have completed a technical apprenticeship, have advanced your studies as a technician (TS/HS) and already possess minimum 5 years of experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of capital goods, ideally in reciprocating compressors. Additional you have experience in training colleagues or customers.

 

Your open and communicative nature as well as your strong conceptual and organizational skills are an excellent starting point for this interesting position. You have didactic flair and the ability to train technical information in a way that can be understood easily. You possess a passion for customer focus, a strong service orientation and enjoy working with people from different nationalities. A high degree of independence and good communication skills in discussions with international colleagues and customers characterizing your personality. You are fluent in the German as well as the English language both orally and written and possess good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS-Project, PowerPoint, CRM and SAP).
