Mission


 


The principal mission of this position is to oversee and support Richemont’s arrangements for loss prevention.  In addition, the job holder will also oversee the organisation’s assurance programme for physical security and health, safety and environment, ensuring adequate testing of controls across a sample of sites.  The relevant controls must be cost-effective, risk-based and promote security be design.

Key Responsibilities


 


Strategy, Management & Coordination:



  • Create and implement both short and long-term strategies to reduce loss and minimise potential risk to future issues.

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive successful operational execution.

  • Assess existing technology (in partnership with the Cyber Resilience team), identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to support innovation and future needs – related to loss prevention.

  • In partnership with the Risk and Governance team, the job holder will review, recommend, implement and oversee standards, guidance, and training relating to the internal and external integrity of Richemont’s Loss Prevention best practices.

  • Evaluate the effective operation and maintenance of the company’s security equipment and devices, stays aware of new developments in the Loss Prevention field.

  • Gather meaningful data related to loss, to enable targeted loss prevention strategies and inform senior management of the loss/risks.

  • Ensure that suitable and sufficient risk assessments/analysis is undertaken to identify, analyse and mitigate the risk of asset loss.

  • Liaise with risk owners to review inventory/stock checking accuracy – related to physical security.

  • Operating as part of a wider Group Security Fraud Management team, liaise with ecommerce fraud teams, to ensure the link between tangible and intangible loss, and subsequent mitigation.

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders (in particular, the Cyber Resilience team) to ensure that they have suitable and sufficient tools to minimise company losses from theft and physical fraud.


 


Communication & Collaboration:



  • Lead working groups with relevant stakeholders to identify business/user needs and test solutions – with reference to loss prevention solutions.

  • Liaise with Richemont Insurance departments, our broker, insurer(s) and their risk assessors.

  • Liaise with key Richemont departments (i.e. finance, security managers, cyber resilience, Online Fraud etc.) to identify, analyse and mitigate the risk of asset loss.


 


Assurance Programmes



  • Manage the Richemont assurance programme to ensure that suitable and sufficient testing of critical controls is undertaken at a sample of sites.  Key duties include:

    • Coordinate the programme of assessments

    • Suitably communicate findings to risk owners

    • Log and track high risk actions through to completion

    • Create analysis of issues found to determine future priorities and areas of interest



 


 


Desired Qualifications & Experience:


 



  • >5 years’ experience in physical security management – with strong experience in loss prevention operation and strategy

  • Strong understanding of data gathering, financial analytics and analysis, regarding to loss prevention and physical security

  • The job holder must be a fluent English speaker, also comfortable writing formal documents in English.  The ability to speak French is desired.

  • Appropriate Management qualification in Physical Security

  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.

  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics

  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and other stakeholder groups to take desired action
