About the role


We are looking for a Manager Group Accounting and Reporting to strengthen our team.


 


Key Responsibilities include



  • The Manager is responsible for the interpretation and implementation of the Barry Callebaut accounting guidelines (IFRS-based), and financial reporting of the Group

  • This will be a key member of the Group Accounting and Reporting team and work closely with local and regional teams on technical accounting topics as an IFRS expert

  • The Manager will ensure robust and thoroughdocumentation (including the preparation of accounting memoranda) is in place for significant and / or complex accounting transactions including M&A

  • The role will develop clear and consistent reporting guidance for the Group, and collaborate closely on the monthly reporting prepared principally by the consolidation team based in Lodz, Poland

  • The Manager will build communities and networks with internal stakeholders to strengthen Finance functions group-wide

  • The role will work closely with other Group teams (including FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Legal) and have involvement in driving key Group-wide finance initiatives / projects

  • The Manager will be a key team member preparing specific disclosures of External publication including the Annual and Half Year reports


 


About you



  • Education: university degree, preferably in Accounting, together with professional qualification (CA or CPA)

  • Languages: fluent English, other languages considered a plus

  • Experience: minimum 5-7 years in Big 4 accounting firm or blue-chip multinational environment

  • Curiosity to understand complex topics

  • Agility to manage changing environment and to respond to ad-hoc requests under time pressure

  • System experience in SAP ERP and consolidation modules is considered a plus

  • Demonstrate positive attitude and support for team decisions, and participate in knowledge sharing both in giving and receiving

  • Able to work in cross-functional and multi-country environments

  • Continuous improvement mentality

  • Mindset to challenge existing norms and structures
