Digitalisation is not just another buzzword to you, and you have always been very curious about different customer setups and how to improve them. You like to challenge people on their existing way of doing things and demonstrate great expertise how to introduce truly novel intelligent software to an existing IT landscape containing Product Information Management (PIM) or Master Data Management (MDM) systems. Your ambition takes you to always find the best solution for the customer, but also pushes you to drive sales opportunities forward until closing. Understanding potential pitfalls related to data modelling and data processing is something you are strong at. You enjoy working with colleagues from different teams (founders, data team, engineering team) and fancy applying intelligent technology to real-world problems. Your contacts at our customers are senior executives of listed DAX/SMI companies, product data management experts responsible for high-quality product data and digitalisation initiatives, and PIM application owners.


Onedot designs and engineers proprietary machine learning algorithms, probabilistic/statistical methods and advanced text understanding because existing approaches do not go far enough. Our technology achieves human-like performance and has already been trained with over 100 million different products.

Your responsibilities:



  • Drive the overall sales process from early interactions to the successful closing of the sales opportunity

  • Understand customers’ data requirements and business drivers to identify sales opportunities

  • Showcase the Onedot software and how it can be integrated by pitching online or visiting customers across Europe

  • Build long-term relationships with customers and become their trusted partner for product data

  • Educate customers how the Onedot software changes existing processes and responsibilities of product- and content managers

  • Support offering/contracting activities by calculating business cases and writing statements of work

  • Help shaping product roadmap by capturing and consolidating customer feedback

  • Collaborate with marketing in producing white papers, market studies and participating in trade fairs and exhibitions


Minimum qualifications:



  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or other relevant areas

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, technical consulting or business analysis

  • Native or C2 German skills, excellent English skills (oral and written communication)

  • Relevant experience in consultative selling/challenger sales and understanding customer needs first before proposing suitable solutions

  • Strong at capturing and systematically documenting customer requirements and reviewing requirements with a data / engineering team

  • Proven ability to work with various customer representatives, from executives to business experts and IT

  • Understanding of modern software products and how to explain them in intuitive ways

  • Experience in analysing data sets (data models, product catalogues) and data architecture in order to estimate efforts on Onedot side

  • Broad understanding of data pipeline concepts, data quality metrics, data modelling practices and API integration possibilities


Preferred qualifications:



  • Proven expertise in PIM, MDM, DAM solutions and retail/commerce technology in general

  • Familiarity with machine learning and state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Good understanding of retail and e-commerce markets

  • Experience in a fast growing B2B software- or platform business
