Basel Institute on Governance
Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, with a presence also in Kenya, Malawi, Peru and Tanzania, the Basel
Institute on Governance is a not-for-profit anti-corruption organisation operating worldwide on technical
assistance, capacity building and applied research projects. Its multidisciplinary, international team of experts
work with partners in the public and private sector, specialising in corruption prevention and public governance,
compliance and Collective Action, criminal law enforcement and the recovery of stolen assets. Our aim is to
counter corruption and other financial crimes, and to improve the quality of governance globally.
The IT unit is responsible for developing, designing and maintaining IT related products including the Basel
Institute’s web presence, e-learning courses and other web-based tools. Furthermore, the IT unit supports the
Basel Institute’s other operational departments in designing and developing department-specific print and web
projects.
Responsibilities
The Web Developer is a member of the Basel Institute’s IT unit. (S)he will work under the direct supervision of
the Team Leader IT & eLearning, and in close collaboration with the Visual Designer, to develop and maintain
Institute-related websites and other web-based projects. Specifically, the Web Developer will have the following
