Job Description


We are looking for an Associate Principal Scientist, who will be part of our local team of  Pharmaceutical Sciences.


Our Research Scientists are our Inventors. We identify and target steps in disease mechanisms or pathways that could be inhibited or enhanced. Our goal is to isolate a compound that is effective against a disease target. Using innovative thinking, state-of-the-art facilities and robust scientific methodology we collaborate to discover the next medical breakthrough.


Primary activities include, but are not limited to:



  • Building a deep fundamental knowledge around drug products; performing, documenting and reviewing experiments.

  • Active participation and leadership on development and project teams as well as collaborating with key stakeholders in the US to drive project milestones.

  • Responsible for leading and championing organizational initiatives and innovation objectives within Analytical Sciences.

  • Develop and implement analytical methods utilized for both formulation development as well as methods for the release and shelf-life assessment of clinical supplies.

  • Responsible for stability data interpretation, specification setting, and function as a key subject matter expert during formulation development and troubleshooting as well as interacting and advising CROs.

  • Contribute towards regulatory submissions to enable clinical trials

  • Mentor fellow scientists


Qualifications:



  • Master degree with 8+ years; PhD degree with 2+ years, PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field / substantial research experience in Analytical Chemistry and/or Pharmaceutical Development and ideally industrial experience as well as mass spectrometry, chromatography and dissolution expertise.

  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements for laboratories (GMP).

  • Track record of strong technical problem solving and innovative research experience along with excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are necessary to qualify for this role.

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
