Job Description

The Senior Product Manager initiates and collaborates on the design, development, execution and implementation of Varian’s product development initiative to deliver ablative radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery capabilities for cardiac arrythmias. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Senior Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.



In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop and bring to market a new treatment technique for cardiac arrhythmias

• Expand the use of radiation therapy to include certain kinds of heart disease

• Drive market adoption and market penetration of cardiac radioablation

• Define and implement the short- and long-term product strategy and roadmap for cardiac radioablation

This role reports to the Sr Director of Cardiac RadioAblation.

Responsibilities



  • Lead and support voice of customer research specific to cardiac radioablation to identify key customer needs

  • Identify and define product strategy and roadmaps and key future needs for all products assigned

  • Guide and drive the development of cardiac radioablation products from initial phase to product launch, and through full product life cycle management

  • Define the key R&D projects to drive growth and market position in cardiac radioablation

  • Support Sr Business Strategy and Operations Manager in business case creation for all products assigned

  • Develop product elaboration documentation in collaboration with Engineering

  • Support Regulatory Affairs in regulatory submissions for all products assigned


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management of medical devices.

  • Strong knowledge of stereotactic body radiotherapy.

  • Strong strategic, analytical and technical skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships internally and externally. Ability to influence leaders within program and outside of program without direct authority to make change.  Collaborative management style.

  • Effective decision-making skills and ability to juggle multiple and competing demands and establish priorities in a highly dynamic environment, while providing continual attention to detail.

  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.

  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization and look at situations from several points of view.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
