Position Summary

 


Nestlé Nespresso has been one of the most successful operating unit of the Nestlé Group, the world's leading food, beverage, nutrition and Wellness Company.
It has pioneered the portioned coffee market to provide premium coffees and related products/services, both in-home and out-of-home.


 


While benefiting from Nestlé's expertise, Nestlé Nespresso is a strategic business unit in its own right, with its unique business model, having the end-to-end responsibility from coffee sourcing to marketing, delivering premium coffee products and services to the end-consumer through its diverse sales channels (Retail, e-Commerce, CRC).


 


As a Product Development Manager,  you will ensure the on-quality, on-time, on-cogs, on-budget delivery of the development projects assigned by the Product Platform Manager, with an end-to-end responsibility to deliver on Marketing brief from Concept to Post Launch stage, including the first feasibility assessment, concept design and choice of the technologies to be used.


A day in the life of a Product Development Manager

 



  • Support Industrial Design Manager 

  • Identify resources and means for the project

  • Organize the project according to the Nespresso development process

  • Identify the different phases, build the technical project team, define decision process and governance, define roles and responsibility, define deliverables and KPI  

  • Evaluate technical options and decide on technical route to be chosen with the support of the Technology platform manager based on risk and opportunities   

  • Finalize technical development and integration of final aesthetical design   

  • Act as Project Manager in the coordination between internal and external project stakeholders

  • Ensure that all the development processes are driven by the Nespresso Quality standards

  • Implementation follow up and result evaluation

  • Regular project review, planning control, implement adjustment, lesson learn   

  • Give technical support to the After-Sales Organisation for trainings, faults analyses and machine/component improvement project proposals    

  • Drive every technical review of the project and manage the development partner  

  • Inform the relevant supervision parties    

  • Present project status and results at various meetings    

  • Validate the products based on tests and results


What will make you successful

 



  • University degree in Mechanics and Electronics Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years business experience in a similar role

  • Proven experience in durable goods industry (including experience in metals and plastic parts)

  • Strong experience in Project management

  • Solid organizational skills and capacity to manage a team of product managers.

  • Business and objective drive

  • Fluent in English and French both written and spoken. German will be considered an asset
