Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, we are looking for a:


 


 


                                                                                COMPLIANCE OFFICER


 


 


ROLE


 



  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with all international and national laws

  • Provide consultation & maintain oversight of government arrangements

  • Identify areas of high risk and work with regional/local management to mitigate the identified risks

  • Develop solutions to match business and compliance needs

  • Actively pursue ongoing, effective communications and provision of training on compliance requirements based on the defined standards

  • Lead compliance projects to achieve compliance for complex transactions and projects by involving all stakeholders

  • Support implementation and maintenance of clear standards of business and ethical conduct consistent with SICPA standards and relevant rules

  • Facilitate the compliance risk assessments, performance monitoring and reporting

  • Develop and execute web based and in-Person trainings

  • Perform investigations on corruption or trade controls allegations

  • Support internal control implementation and effectiveness matters regarding the compliance programme

  • Facilitate, review and approve Due Diligence reports

  • Support SICPA’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption programme


 


 


PROFILE


 



  • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's of Business Administration or a Master's degree in economics, management or law or an equivalent legal qualification in a related discipline is preferred

  • More than 8 years of professional experience, 4-6 years in a similar position

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English (mandatory) and French (preferable)

  • Advanced knowledge within maintaining a compliance programme (corruption prevention, foreign trade controls)

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, due diligence, training and investigations

  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and e-mail applications

  • Experienced to guide employees through highly sensitive situations

  • Excellent intercultural, problem solving skills

  • Experience in process & project management

  • Motivated and detail-oriented with great organizational skills

  • Professional report writing and presentation skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively
