As a membership organization, the Forum, through the Business Engagement Group, engages businesses to address industry, regional and systemic issues.


As part of the Business Engagement Group, the Partner Development team is responsible for establishing new partnerships with corporations based in Europe and North America from various industries.


 


Reporting Lines and Interactions:


The Partner Development Lead will report to the Head of Partner Development team – Europe and North America.


Internally, this person will work with colleagues from various Industries and externally with a broad range of stakeholders.


 


Main responsibility:



  • Business development: develop the Forum’s partnership community in various industries by researching, analyzing and understanding the priorities of potential partners, reaching out to prospects, shaping compelling value propositions, leading engagement discussions, and closing contracts.


The successful candidate will be assessed on:



  • Effectively developing own pipeline of 40 to 60 potential partner target companies.

  • Achieving sales targets by managing process from start to finish, from target company first approach to contract execution.

  • Ability to actively reach out withinNorth America and Europe to develop long-term, trusted partnerships with businesses.

  • Successfully building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and thereby leveraging their networks, expertise, and community member relationships along the partner development cycle.

  • Maintaining the Forum’s CRM database up to date.


Preferred Requirements and Experience:



  • Master’s degree (or equivalent)in Business, Economics, or other relevant field.

  • At least 6-8 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a business development/sales role.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with fluency in an additional language preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the current economic landscape.

  • Prior work experience with industry leaders at a senior executive level.

  • Proficiency in analyzing complex industry issues using the most relevant business intelligence.

  • High-level analytical and organizational skills with intellectual rigour and flawless execution.

  • Excellent listening skills, professional judgement and ability to adapt engagement approaches as needed. 

  • Agile team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and rapidly evolving environment.

  • Proficient in working with Salesforce or other CRM tools.

  • Committed to the Forum’s mission to improving the state of the world.

  • Willingness to travel in North America and Europe.
