The Platform onShaping the Future of Health and Healthcare  focuses on how the world can deliver healthy lives and healthcare for 9.7 billion people by 2050.  It curates international organizations, academic institutions, pharmaceutical and biomedical companies, healthcare NGOs, hospitals, healthcare providers, infrastructure and insurance organizations to shape the global health agenda.


 


Reporting Lines and Interactions


 


This position will report to the Head of Healthcare Transformation.


 


The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues fromShaping the Future of Health and Healthcare(Head of the Platform on the Future of Health and Healthcare, Head of Industry, Platform curators / Project Leads), other System Initiatives, Strategic Intelligence Team; and externally with a broad range of stakeholders including international organizations, civil society organizations, research institutions, academia, and expert communities.


 


Breakdown of main responsibilities 


 



  • 70% platform activities’ support 

  • 30% research and analysis


 


Platform activities support


 



  • Provide logistics support for ongoing activities and events related to the Platform on the Future of Health and Healthcare

  • Support the development of communications related to the Platform activities (PowerPoints, newsletters, electronic updates, TopLink, Salesforce)

  • Support preparation of platform related events, including: preparing agenda and lists of participants, drafting background and pre-read materials, writing notes and minutes from meetings

  • Support management of stakeholders involved in platform activities:

    • Partner management: perform Quote to Cash (QcT), serve as key primary engagement manager to platform partners, conduct analysis of partner engagement, tracking and updating project participants, liaising with teams across the Forum to secure continuous engagement, etc.

    • Steward Management:manage Steward membership, serve as primary engagement manager to select Stewards relevant only to the Health and Healthcare Platform, organize calls and face-to-face meetings, prepare pre-read materials, meeting slides, etc.

    • Project coordination:ensure that projects’ relevant calendars, workplans and agendas are up to date and made available and communicated to the Partner and Members in a timely manner, including project presence on TopLink.


  • Support the head of healthcare transformation in managing ongoing Partner relationships, such as sourcing company information, following up queries from partners, identifying opportunities for engagement, maintaining communications and preparing engagement plans

  • Work with teams across the Forum’s global centres to ensure the successful engagement of Partners and Members in Forum activities and events


 


Research and Analysis support  


 



  • Conduct research and analysis to identify key trends and implications for industry, and other societal stakeholders. Stay abreast of academic research and discussions in the media on relevant health topics

  • Conduct analysis related to partner engagement, participation, etc.

  • Understand and advance the Forum’s digital knowledge and analysis tools and contribute to their further development to maximize value to our partners and constituents; help curate relevant industry Transformation Maps

  • Identify key experts and influencers shaping the industry ecosystem, drawing on a range of cutting-edge research and analysis tools including theTransformation Maps

  • Work with Forum teams and external experts in academia, think tanks, government and industry to capture knowledge and insight; review and synthesize content generated by collaborating experts

  • Curate cutting-edge online content to provide an in-depth perspective on latest developments and activate community engagement

  • Ensure cooperation with internal and external partners, building strong relationships based on trust and professionalism


 


The successful candidate will be assessed on



  • Quality of analysis generated to support Forum’s Health and Healthcare Platform

  • Quality of logistical support to Platform activities and Forum events

  • Quality of interactions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Efficiency and effectiveness in use of knowledge tools and products


 


Preferred requirements and experience



  • University degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant field (public health, health economics, international development, public policy, business or social sciences)

  • 2-5 years' work experience in a relevant filed (health, strategy consulting, academia, international organizations) with a demonstrated interest in health

  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English; verbal proficiency in other languages would be an asset 

  • Demonstrated ability to create and cultivate digital communities and presence

  • Strong interpersonal skills and contextual and emotional intelligence
