Basic Function:
As Competitive Pricing Specialist, in particular for agricultural machinery, you will be charged with managing the Ag product portfolio of CNHI in AMEA as a business unit sharing Positioning both among the product lines in the offering and against competitors in the various markets in each different sub region within the AMEA organization.
You will act as point of reference gathering product configuration comparison, prioritizing customer requirements, identifying product gaps and delivering the right competitive price positioning as a value proposition.
You will be challenged to find creative ways with the Product and Sales teams to articulate this value proposition and supporting them to enable on successfully selling Ag products with correct pricing.
Key activity is to stay informed of the most competing products on the market, assist with Business Managers, Product Marketing, Business Intelligence and Pricing Analysts to develop pricing strategies, share data at market level and support markets in creating actions as well as support the launch of the right configuration at the right price within the specific territories.
Important is to collect & analyze data by product family/markets and build a product and pricing dashboard on key measures: pricing, volume, share, margin, etc..
It will require to use different commercial application tools and to be capable to elaborate data through dashboards and systems to develop specific outcomes.
The candidate will:
• Be exposed to multi-cultural and cross-functional environments on a multinational corporation environment.
• Need to have some technical knowledge in agricultural equipment.
• Interact with different departments, offices and eventually dealers and distributors in our region, to assess actual situation of systems utilization, easy-of-use, and collect enhancements requirements.
• Performs other duties assigned by his supervisor upon request and priority.
Responsibilities:
• Provides analysis to ensure the pricing of goods stays competitive in the market.
• Conducts market research and gathers competitive intelligence to make recommendations regarding pricing policies.
• Maintains historical pricing data on the organization and its competitors.
• Coordinates and communicates pricing information for new product releases.
• Analyze market trends, including competitors’ prices, marketing strategies and profitability
• Deliver informed decisions about the appropriate price points for various products based on the analysis of internal and external data
• Monitor the results of pricing decisions by evaluating performance in relation to budget and profit margins and communicating with the sales team regularly
• Revise pricing decisions if necessary, and proactively monitor products’ performance to determine whether reevaluation is needed
• Maintain detailed records for individual products that can be used to evaluate future market trends and inform future pricing decision
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, accounting, finance or related field
• English knowledge is essential; other languages are welcome
• Analytical, evaluative and data-driven mindset
• Excellent knowledge and capability to work with SAP ERP and Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel.
• Understanding of wholesale and retail business structures, pricing and dynamics.
• Experience in product marketing and/or sales management roles in agricultural or related industry is a plus.
• Able to work effectively with cross functional teams with good interpersonal & communication skills and friendly personality
• Eager to learn about the agricultural industry and ready to hit the ground running on learning new vehicles and products
• Enthusiastic & result-oriented Self-motivated, creative & lateral thinker with the ability to work independently.
