We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Private Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.



The Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team sits in the first line of defence and evaluates the quality of the client information gather and consolidated for the client on boarding, customer due diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC).
 
The CLM Analyst role will proactively engage with their designated Front Office team, providing advice and support throughout the customer pre-on boarding, on boarding and periodic reviews process with regards to CDD policy implementation.
 
The job holder should be precise, detailed oriented and be able to establish a strong working relationship with the Front Office team.


In this role, you will:



  • Guide the Relationship Managers and Client Service Executives in identifying and documenting the information required to satisfy the Bank’s KYC due diligence policies and processes ;

  • Execute and review negative media alerts, and performs sanction & PEP screening ;

  • Check and identify discrepancies between the information held in the customer’s documentation and profile on the system ;

  • Review and validate the quality of the Customer Due Diligence and Know Your Customer information on the bank’s customers, in line with HSBC policies at on-boarding and periodic reviews ;

  • Work with the CDD Advisor when additional guidance on CDD policy is required ;

  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve efficiency in the workflow ;

  • Make considered decisions with factual and coherent recommendations, benefits and implications ;

  • Keep colleagues and stakeholders informed, and take accountability for following through on outstanding issues raised within the CLM team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of service ;

  • Plan and prioritize work, to ensure alignment with business needs and efficient use of resources ;

  • Take responsibility for completing assigned tasks to a high quality standard ;

  • Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:




  • Minimum 2-3 years of working knowledge of AML, regulatory compliance and controls within the banking and financial services industry;

  • University degree of relevant work experience;

  • Professional knowledge in tax matters would be a plus;

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required. Arabic and/or French would be a plus;

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer;

  • Knowledge of Avaloq and/or Appway is a plus;

  • Ability to work independently and with all levels of staff/management with client- and solution- oriented mind;

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams;

  • Can-do attitude with a strong team spirit;

  • Strong analytical and communication skills;
