Overview:



  • The role is accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals at a product/product group line level.

  • Influences the development and drives the execution Molecular product line, tactical marketing and communication plans. 

  • Formulates recommendations and takes decisions that impact sales and/or expense budget performance.

  • Influences within work area/ department/ function and provides significant input into product/product group line-related business decisions and resource planning.

  • Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g. branding, product development, price strategy, financial forecasting.

  • Drives product launches and contributes to market access planning and strategy.

  • Gives input into leadership teams on a large worldwide product/product group line: European Marketing and Business team, Country Marketing teams, Global Product and Marketing teams, or Product Development Core Teams.  

  • Plays critical role in key European projects/ initiatives and will lead project/ initiative teams within the area of the product/product group line.

  • Coordinates activities from other functions that are required as part of the execution of launch and marketing/sales plans. These functions encompass regulatory affairs, medical and scientific affairs, supply chain, technical service, Marcom, etc.


Job Description


Reporting to the Marketing Manager Women's Health and Cancer, Molecular, Integrated Diagnostic Solutions Europe, the jobholder is responsible for supporting the overall business objectives of the B.U. Group with a strong focus on Molecular product line.


by maintaining and developing market expert knowledge and translating the business strategy to tactical programs for the country organizations. He/She will be responsible for developing specific marketing programs to counter competition and sustain BD leadership in the WH&C, HPV business.


Responsibilities:


1/Strategic influence



  • Proactively contributing to the elaboration of the Pan European Diagnostic Systems Marketing Strategy and Tactics

  • Managing product portfolio and providing input for new product developments, interfacing with WW marketing

  • Collaborating with peers within Molecular and Integrated Diagnostic Solutions and other aligned business units across the region (BDx)


2/Production of and execution of product marketing plans for assigned products to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies, including:



  • Market sensing and feasibility with informed market data driven decision

  • Market development

  • marketing mix management

  • Market Life cycle management

  • Budget and forecast development

  • Communication tactical plans

  • Works collaboratively to develop value-added programs and services that support and enhance the product line’s value propositions.

  • Will develop medical and health-economics modelling to drive further demand and testing for WH&C, HPV


3/Manages drivers of demand for assigned product line(s) such as



  • Channel strategy,

  • Contracting

  • Product mix.

  • Tender support (technical and strategy)

  • Maintaining and developing product line specific expert knowledge in terms of: customer needs, environmental forces, product, technologies, applications, and competition


4/Participates as a Marketing Core Team Member on cross-platform technical teams, delivering the marketing leadership and support needed to the relevant projects.


5/ Ensure proper strategic execution in the countries



  • Support relevant Customer visits with Local / European Commercial teams

  • Develops and Manages Key Opinion leaders in relevant markets

  • Develops and executes Communication strategy including reference center development, exhibition strategy, webinars and sales support material.

  • Delivers the value proposition of the products to sales team to support selling process.

  • Implement Customer Centricity program in all marketing activities

  • Assists with the development and implementation of local launch plans including pricing, promotion, and sales training

  • Actively contributing to the definition of the European and country budgets and forecasts

  • Monitoring and analyzing the evolution of sales and GP performance and developing and implementing adequate corrective actions together with the countries


Required knowledge and experience   



  • Academic degree in Molecular Science or similar education preferred

  • Suggested minimum of 3 to 5 years of business experience in the life science/molecular industry.

  • Strong Experience in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go to Market models and strategies.

  • Fluent in English and preferably one or more European languages: French, Spanish, Italian, German

  • Strong ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability

  • Ability to influence decisions, to set priorities and follow through

  • Capacity to lead/coordinate/influence a Project Team

  • Pro-activity in moving things forward with a strong will to win

  • Strong achievement motivation

  • Good analytical skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Job Specific Requirements:
