We strive to make a difference to people’s everyday lives by bringing essential medicines to the market.  In our Histology department we are looking to recruit an Histology technician to join our expanding team.

Job responsibilities include:

• Provides support to testing personnel in preparation for sample analysis:
  
  
  
  • Receive, open, and place in service all reagents according to SOPs.
  
  
  • Prepare and properly label reagents and document according to SOPs.
  
  
  • Prepares and properly labels quality control material accurately.
  
  

• Perform maintenance on instruments and equipment according to manufacturer and SOP requirements, and documents according to SOP. Notifies laboratory management when an instrument or equipment does not meet specifications.

• Process (scan) samples to be transfer to our Specimen Management team to ensure the traceability.

• Reagents, material and supplies monitoring.

• Perform slide scanning as required and according to protocols.

• Adheres to safety and occupational health policies and standards.

Education/Qualifications:

Obligatory school degree

Experience:

No prior experience required; prefer lab experience.
