OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB


 


The Senior Director Initiaitive Management role provides leadership for the Initiaitive organization of his/her business unit and is accountable for the delivery of the Initiaitive Master Plan. He/she will ensure proper deployment of practices, programs supporting Initiative Management capability (Project Management, SC Merchandising execution, Global customization). He/She is the process owner of the Stage-Gate process. The role also contribute in coordinating activities coming from the Blue Sky process and entering in the Initiaitive Master Plan. He/She is responsible for monitoring the efficiency of the SG process for the business unit. He/She owns the functional network of Initiative leaders deployed in the plants (SIL).


He/she will be part of the PB Supply leadership team, reporting to the SVP PB Supply dotted line the VP Marketing Retail Hair.


 


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Leads, provides direction and line manages a team of direct reports, including talent development, driving engagement and performance management

  • Defines medium term startegies to Initiative objectives for the business unit

  • Owns the Stage Gate process for the business unit and ensures regular decision making with respective approvers

  • Ensure Commercial, Technical, Financial readiness of the initiaitives at the different stage of the project development (5D model)

  • Leads the process of Initiative Master plan and its sufficiency.

  • Prioritizes execution of the capability programs

  • Decides which decisions must be escalated to higher level (following 5D model governance)

  • Monitor KPI’s related to the Stage-Gate process

  • Partner with Marketing, R&D, Finances, SC to deploy Initiative Management process and sub-processes

  • Multitasking and coordination with different players across SC worldwide (functions, TPM, etc.)

  • Ability to operate under business ambiguity

  • Stakeholder management (President, CMO, SC leaders, R&D leaders)

  • Initiative / Self-drive / Rigueur in Execution / Leadership

  • Capacity to collaborate in a multi-functional environement and enage people to facilitate decision making


 


QUALIFICATION


Education / Qualifications



  • Technical University Degree / Engineering Degree / Financial Degree

  • The role requires 10 - 15 years business experience, preferably with proven experiences in different roles and functions related to SC operations, R&D and project management


 Languages



  • Fluent English spoken and written is a must

  • Additional language is a plus

  • Strong experience in leading project completion in complex business environment with exposure to senior level of the organization

  • Demonstrated leadership amongst peers and teams

  • Strong communication skills to engage business stakeholders

  • Proven leadership skills in change management

  • Proven skills in Problem solving and rigour in process management

  • Strong capability to organize work with numerous interdependencies

  • Strong knowledge or experience, working in the Beauty or FMCG industry is a strong advantage

  • Track record of making sound decisions / recommendations in complex business environments

  • History of building internal and external relationships and interaction with management at all levels
