Position Summary

 


As a Senior Specialist in Child Neurocognition you will propose, define and lead project activities in the area of infant and child development and nutrition. You will execute project deliverables according to project planning and in collaboration with internal and external partners, translate business needs into research approaches and scientific findings into business supporting materials.

A day in the life of Senior R&D Specialist in Child Neurocognition

 


• Propose, develop and lead new ideas developments & projects to strengthen the scientific knowledge in the area of nutrition, brain development and cognition
• Evaluate nutritional compounds and nutritional solutions for potential application for brain and cognitive functions
• Provide scientific, qualified support and consultancy to projects across R&D and relevant businesses
• Autonomously manage and coordinate knowledge, competencies and research activities within group portfolio
• Present scientific approaches, content and results internally by adjusting communication style to different audiences and provide high quality R&D reports, first author peer-reviewed scientific publications, oral presentations at international conferences for external communication
 


What will make you successful

 


• PhD in psychology, human neuroscience, cognitive science, psychiatry or related field
• 5-7 years of experience post PhD in neurodevelopment or cognitive child development research
• Polyvalent knowledge in child cognitive, emotional, social and brain development
• Has successfully led and coordinated research projects and clinical trials
• Strong experience with clinical study design and execution, including driving protocol development in collaboration with other scientists
• Strong knowledge of and experience with applying psychological and cognitive tests to children
• Track record of scientific writing, including manuscripts for publication
• Knowledge in nutrition and/or brain chemistry would be a strong asset
• Previous experience with research in industry environment is considered a strong advantage (pharma, food industry, biotech)
• Practical clinical experience is a plus (e.g. patient care, psychotherapy training, advanced clinical qualifications)
• Experience with neuroimaging techniques would be a plus
• Fluency in English is mandatory
