Duties
Ensure Project Management standards and quality across the organization
Developing, maintaining and applying quality management processes for project and/or programme and/or portfolio activities and outputs
Review and adapt Project Management Processes as per evolving requirements, and lessons learned from past projects. Provide orientation/training to the new ITD staff members on these processes.
Coordination of projects and resources
Review and analyse global IT project proposals using an agreed IT Department methodology to allow projects to be prioritized. Based on management decisions, conduct feasibility studies when required to assess project’s viability.
Review and adapt Project Management Processes as per evolving requirements, and lessons learned from past projects. Provide orientation/training to the new ITD staff members on these processes.
Developing, implementing and updating resources allocations plans (other than finance) needed for projects and/or programmes in portfolios, taking account of availabilities and scheduling
Gathering independent evidence that the information from projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios is valid and are likely to achieve their aims
Project coaching and training
Empowering and inspiring others to deliver successful projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios
Identifying additional capabilities required by members of the extended team, and helping with their development
Adhere to staff regulation and the Code of Conduit
Requirements
Education Required Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Certification in Project Management
Certification in Business Analysis (preferred nor mandatory)
Experience Required Preferred
Minimum 5 years of related experience in Project Management
Minimum 2 years of related experience in a PMO
Knowledge and Skills Required Preferred
Knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft technologies, MS Project. (preferred nor mandatory)
Significant experience with processes related to IT support, operations, and software development.
Languages Required Preferred
Fluently spoken and written English.
Good command of another official language (French, Spanish or Arabic). (preferred nor mandatory)
