You’re looking to make your mark in a fast-paced, communications environment and would relish the opportunity to play a key role in developing, delivering and evaluating communications and engagement strategies of a world-class pharmaceutical company. At AstraZeneca, we’re looking for a Communications Manager to join us in Zug, Switzerland, which is home to our Europe and Canada Regional Headquarters.
We’re entering a period of sustained growth and have an ambitious strategy to deliver. Your objective will be to enhance employee understanding of our regional priorities across our Europe and Canada commercial organisation, connecting global to local, driving performance and reinforcing our reputation as a great place to work. You’ll leverage our communications channels, improving their effectiveness and reporting on all that they do. Digital communications will be a core component of your role. A proactive approach to developing solutions, the judgement to handle sensitive information and the collaborative skills to be part of a close-knit, high-performing Corporate Affairs team will be key.
Main duties and responsibilities
Working across all business areas and disciplines under the direction of the Communications Director for Europe and Canada, you’ll be instrumental in delivering timely, relevant and compelling communication activities to achieve visible outcomes. Your role will encompass news delivery, internal and external campaigns, crisis/issues management, change communication and event management, as well as evaluation and reporting. Furthermore, you will generate content supporting commercial, media and leadership activities (gathering, coordinating input, editing, writing, etc.)
As well as proactively delivering communications campaigns and materials, you’ll advise internal stakeholders on communications issues, including high-level copy and speech writing. Managing communications processes, and measuring the effectiveness of campaign approaches with a view to driving improvements, will also be part of your role.
