We are hence hiring a Global P&O Business Partner to, in partnership with the department heads, build strong Data Strategy and Data Science organizations and capabilities which are critical to our digital transformation at scale. Job Purpose:
As Global P&O Business Partner to the Data Strategy and Data Science and AI teams you will define and implement the People and Organization strategy required to bring the vision of these two key functions to life at Novartis. This includes both near term and longer-term tactics and initiatives. You will be expected to develop strong business acumen and credibility, demonstrate high levels of agility, and adapt to evolving business needs. You will bring strong business partnering experience to the role together with experience in apply organizational design and talent management to transformational business strategies.
You will be responsible but not limited to:
• Deploy global P&O strategy in partnership with Business leaders to drive the achievement of business objectives in the following areas: organizational design, succession planning, career management, performance management, team building and workforce planning
• Drive a strong culture through application of organizational development interventions, coaching and business partnership with leadership (ULE, Glint etc.)
• Develop P&O strategy for the client group that is based on Novartis P&O strategy and supports achievement of business goals and strategic objectives and drive its implementation Partner with Data Strategy, Data Science, and IT to optimize operating model across the three departments including developing workforce plans for the coming 3-5 years and strategy to achieve them
• Member of the x-unit DSAI LT
• Oversee development of enterprise-wide Data Strategy and DSAI with divisional P&O teams
• Lead ad hoc projects related to Digital and or Corporate Functions
Minimum requirements
• Advanced degree such as MBA, JD, MD, or PhD is a plus
• Fluent in English: oral & writing / others desirable
• + 15 years’ experience as an HR professional, desired background in coaching, leadership development, experienced in consulting senior executive client groups.
• Business partner experience
• Ability to drive with limited information, willingness to adapt, speak-up and challenge, and take calculated risks
• Previous experience and strong mindset in continuous improvement and change management
• Expertise in organization dynamics and culture, ability to gain trust and confidence at all levels in the organisation, leadership and project management experience in global initiatives.
