As part of the Novartis Pharma Schweiz medical team, your role as MSL in the IHD field is key in respect to external partner management, medical communication and execution of scientific projects in alignment with our scientific strategy.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Build peer to peer scientific relationships, assess advocacy (degree of Medical Specialist understanding and agreement with medical platform statements) and contributions and respond to requests for information using approved materials with Key Stakeholders, Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and decision makers

• Contribute to identification and mapping of Medical Specialists/key partners in line with strategies

• Provide and discuss information and data with HCPs to manage quality and accuracy of medical and scientific information on new treatment options including Novartis products and selected areas of therapeutic interest

• Scientific Research Support and provide educational activities to support efficient study accrual for trials and provide feasibility and research site recommendation for Novartis sponsored clinical trials

• Collaborate with ICRO team and Medical Advisors, to support clinical sites, including providing mentorship in accordance with guidelines, Novartis Internal Policies, and regulations

• Engage in discussions related to Novartis research areas/compounds/pipeline with MEs, speakers & Investigators

• Provide support to Medical Experts/ Key partners upon their request and provide medical support and mentorship to Novartis colleagues

• Build and manage scientific projects according to global, regional or local medical strategies. Examples may include, but not limited to, epidemiology projects, registries, preclinical or translational research, as well as multi-disciplinary projects involving education of functions in the medical community to improve patient diagnosis and Treatment




Minimum requirements

• MD, PharmD, Pharmacist, PhD and other life sciences with proven medical/ technical background

• German or French (mother tongue), very good knowledge of the other language; Proficient in English (oral and written)

• Good leadership, management and planning skills

• State of the art knowledge in scientific area

• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of drug development, GCP and local regulations

• Good analytical skills and Understanding of marketing principles and strategies

• Pharma experience preferred
