Temporary Warehousing Officer
Reports to Deputy Operations Manager
To manage and coordinate the activities in the allocated warehouse in line with company and customs operating procedures and ensure safety of client cargo at all times.
Key tasks include:
• Supervise verification of all cargo received in the allocated warehouse
• Supervise loading and off loading of cargo in and out of the warehouse in line with client’s requirements and the relevant stakeholders
• Plan and allocate bond space to ensure effective and maximum utilization of the warehouse
• Receive and act upon cargo dispatch instructions from the client through the CRE
• Ensure proper stock management through regular stock reconciliation and implementation of control measures
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on stock positions both from physical reconciliation and the Warehouse Management System
• Ensure that all actitivites in the warehouse are done in adherence to set safety procedures
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Business or related business course
• Post graduate diploma in customs clearing and forwarding
• Certification in EACFFPC is an advantage
Experience:
• At least 3 years working in a clearing and forwarding industry with a working knowledge of warehousing processes.
