Power Integrations, Inc., is a Silicon Valley-based supplier of high-performance electronic components used in high-voltage power-conversion systems. Our SCALE™ IGBT drivers enhance the efficiency, reliability and cost of high-power applications such as industrial motor drives, solar and wind energy systems, electric vehicles and high-voltage DC transmission.

Power Integrations is recruiting for a Director of ASIC Development. This position reports to the Vice President High Power Products and is located in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. 

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Management of a growing team of Senior ASIC Designers


• Translation of business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with the Product Definition department


• Definition of the platform architecture for the ASICs


• Development of Analog/ Mixed Signal Gate Driver ASICs for IGBT and MOS Power Semiconductors


• Analyze current Technology trends in Power Semiconductors


• Maintain and develop the Technological Leadership of our products through innovation


• Involvement in the generation of patents and the protection of the company’s IP


• Active participation in international conferences and industry fairs


• Close collaboration with other departments globally (Technology Development, Product Development, Test Development, Application Engineering, Quality, Marketing)

Requirements and Experience

• Masters in Electronics or comparable degree


• min. 10 years of proven Analog/ Mixed Signal ASIC Design Experience, ideally with Power Semiconductors


• Extensive Knowledge in Power Semiconductors (IGBT, MOS, SiC MOS) and their applications


• Leadership experience in an R&D environment


• Experience with DfT and DfM Methods is an advantage


• Teamplayer with open communication skills


• Languages : fluent in English, German in an advantage
