Global Business Process Manager Demand to Pay for Upstream (D2P)

As the Global Business Process Manager Demand to Pay you are part of the RSS BPM D2P organization and report to the Global Business Process Owner Demand to Pay.


In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of the E2E BPM strategy and accountable for global, cross-divisional state-of-the-art process design within Demand to Pay Upstream Area. This includes e.g. Category Management Processes, Supplier Management, Strategic Souring and Supplier Onboarding. You are the empowered decision maker for your area in line with the E2E Business Process Management guardrails from the GBPO. You work closely with the E2E GBPM & GBPS network to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions. In addition, you will coach the Global Business Process Specialists in- and outside the E2E network.


Furthermore, you will be responsible for achieving lean cross-divisional processes & solutions, with maximum standardization, harmonization and compliance for the Demand to Pay Upstream
Area.


You will be responsible for a holistic solution delivery including processes, ICFR, authorizations, laws & regulations, technology, analytics for the D2P area, in line with the E2E strategy and guardrails given by the GBPO as well as continuous improvements. Additionally, you will ensure the execution of E2E process is robust and established as a way of working through the global, regional and local teams.


Further accountabilities & responsibilities include:



  • Accountable for generating ideas towards and driving the BPM strategic roadmap for the D2P Upstream area. 


  • Liaise with and influence (senior) stakeholders to guarantee business acceptance on a global level across divisions a functions.


  • Ensure you establish metrics for your E2E process area.


  • Accountable for prioritization, justification and realization of major change requests in line with the strategic roadmap for your process area


  • Ensure documentation of process requirements, implementation through guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures


  • Drive efficiencies and improvements (incl. automation) across E2E network, RSS Operations, affiliates and IT, by considering external market insights and best practices


  • Contribution to partner projects, providing advice and guidance for your process area


  • Provide guidance to the Global Business Process Specialists for your area.


  • Accountable for implementing and driving initiatives in line with the strategic roadmap for your process area


  • Contribute to advance agile ways of working in teams and the organization



Who you are



  • You have a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Informatics, Engineering or a comparable education. 7-10 years relevant professional experience, preferably in Business Process Management, Procurement, Category Management and Accounts Payable. 


  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work in complex global networks with international teams


  • Good change management and conflict management skills and experience


  • Business fluency in English


  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% 



You also bring the following skills and competencies: 



  • Strong E2E business process area understanding and deep process knowledge as well as technical expertise for his/her dedicated area


  • Strong technical competencies in SAP FI/CO, SAP MM, Procurement


  • Proven methodological skills e.g. BPM, Six Sigma (DMAIC), agile ways of working (Scrum), continuous improvement (Lean, PDCA, Kaizen)


  • Agile mindset (speed, stability, flexibility) - works according to and brings in the agile mindset concept in daily operations


  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving mindset


  • Good collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills


  • Proven customer-centric mindset (internal & external)


  • High attention to quality and details


  • Comfortable with handling ambiguity and taking decisions


  • Experience in working in multicultural teams, organizational and project management skills, especially in matrix structures, considering/balancing interests of senior stakeholders from different functions
