Scientist/Senior Scientist Analytical Development

In this role, you are working inAnalytical Development Synthetic Moleculeswithin Pharma Technical Development.

Analytical Development is responsible for the development of resource and cost efficient analytical methods for all materials used during drug manufacturing using state of the art methodologies such as e.g. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ion Chromatography (IC), Mass Spectrometry (MS), and others. The ultimate goal of our work is a robust control strategy to release pharmaceutical products for clinical trials, and finally for commercial supply.

Your main responsibility is to cover all analytical aspects during the project development lifecycle. In order to achieve this goal you work in close collaboration with co-workers, cross-functional partners from e.g. process development, material sciences, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance.  You plan and document your experiments/results independently, and prepare for regulatory submissions such as IND and NDA.

Based on your level of professional experience, you might start with bench work first, to learn analytical development from the lab perspective with the ultimate goal to take over full responsibility for a development project.

Who are you

For this role you bring the following qualification:

• You hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or pharmacy (analytical background is preferred) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (e.g. Postdoc) in the pharmaceutical industry

• You have a strong quality mind-set and excellent attention to detail. You routinely apply GMP requirements where necessary, and understand how to exert them in different clinical phases

• You are open-minded, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast developing environment

• You take challenges as opportunities and are able to respectfully cooperate with team members and co-workers, even in stressful situations. Furthermore, you network closely with external partners such as CMOs and CROs.
