Global Procurement Manager

In this challenging position, you will be in charge of the procurement of Point of Sales Visual Merchandising (VM) for La Prairie Group. Your main responsibility is to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal key stakeholders, implement the roll out of Procurement policies, identify business needs, sell the features and benefits of early procurement involvement and develop a Procurement culture and approach towards any expenditure in the VM spend area. This position reports to the Global Procurement Director. 


In the near future, this position will merge with the New Store Design role, offering growth opportunities and increased exposure to the right candidate.


This role is key to the company as you will not only bring your expertise on Procurement activities and strategic sourcing but also propose solutions to your stakeholders that creates sustained competitive advantage and deliver best value for money (Quality, Service, Innovation, Price…). 



Your Responsibilities


 


Launch projects & POS elements: 



  • Work with our Global Marketing partners to define requirements for the sourcing of visual merchandising, uniforms, standard collaterals, chairs, lamps, icons, etc. making our stores unique

  • Define and execute category strategies together with our stakeholders

  • Organize supplier biddings, RFI/RFPs & evaluate results for supplier selection with the goal of maximizing value generation

  • Negotiate contracts, master agreements, SLAs with suppliers

  • Improve our supplier portfolio – Source suppliers with right capabilities in close cooperation with stakeholders, monitor service levels to ensure compliance and uninterrupted availability of goods

  • Address non-conformities to suppliers e.g. complaints

  • Drive process efficiency through the implementation and use of templates, new technologies, etc.



Operational tasks:



  • Ensure procurement good practices (continuous optimization of processes, methods, performance measurements, etc.) and that all activities are conducted within the frame given by internal and external compliance guidelines

  • Support the development and implementation of standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening RfP and decision making processes

  • Identify and evaluate potential new sources of goods or services

  • Conduct procurement data & market analysis, determine risks and opportunities  

  • Continuously analyze spend to identify cost reduction initiatives

  • Prepare monthly spend reports and KPIs analysis

  • Maintain vendor master data, purchase order and other relevant data in SAP if necessary

  • Prepare, collect and archive documentation according to the Procurement Compliance Guideline



 


Your Qualifications


 



  • Master’s degree (FH) in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent 

  • CIPS qualification preferable 

  • 10 years’ successful experience in Visual Merchandising Procurement in an international environment is a must, ideally in the furniture or luxury industry

  • Strong analytical, communication, organization and negotiation skills

  • Ability to influence business partners, internally and externally, conveying value creation and communicating it accordingly 

  • Ability/experience in leading cross functional teams, first line management experience a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, work cross functionally and drive change across all levels of the organization and geographical boundaries 

  • Results-oriented, proactive, service-driven person with a strong team spirit 

  • Flexible personality, able to work in a dynamic & culturally heterogeneous environment 

  • Digital savvy-sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Ppt, Word), SAP R/3 (MM module) & Qlikview or equivalent

  • Very good written and spoken English skills 

  • Travels required from time to time
