In term of project plan, the PMO supports the preparation of project plannings and run books in liaison with the Project Manager and Subject Matter Experts. Based on these plannings and run books, she/he then coordinate and tracks the status of the key project steps and deliverables with key project stakeholders. She/he compiles them and reports them to the project manager / programme director. She/he also play a key role in term of communication to project stakeholders during the test phases.
In term of organization, the PMO builds up a common set of practices, principles and templates for managing projects - and ensure that they are followed by performing regular assessments of projects.
Respoonsibilities:
Support the Project Manager in the preparation of project plannings and run books ;
Ensure that the project planning and run books are well structured to be tracked, and that the dependencies are well identified ;
Gather project data and produce information for management review ;
The PMO tracks the project status based on updates from project stakeholders ;
She/he standardises the way this information is compiled and reported to management. The normal way to present the information is using project dashboards which provide a clear way to keep track of the status of projects ;
Coordinate and track the project steps depending on the project phase ;
For example :
During the design phase, track the status of the design deliverables ;
During the build phase, track the status of IT developments ;
During the test phase, coordinate and track the test cases execution ;
During the migration dry run, coordinate and track the status of each step of the run book ;
During the dress rehearsal, coordinate and track the status of each step of the run book book ;
Gather the data required for cost tracking (consolidation of actuals, ETC, cost) ;
Support the project manager in the delivery of the weekly status report and steering committee presentations ;
Track the project risk and mitigating actions

Good interpersonal skills and negotiation skills ;
