.Your teamYou are a member of the small central architecture team that drives the cross-functional evolution of our platform together with the product teams that are made up of developers and domain architects. You are responsible for both the container platform and the microservice patterns of the software that the product teams build.
You work independently with great autonomy and deliver results in agile projects together with different teams. You help your internal and external customers succeed by solving their real-world problems. You strive for perfection, but remain pragmatic. You prefer to work with source code and other technical artifacts over PowerPoint.Your mission
You architect hands-on the migration of the existing Avaloq Banking Suite to a Kubernetes-based container infrastructure and the creation of new cloud-native Spring Boot-based microservices to replace existing code and provide new functionality.
You code prototypes, write some production code in innovation projects, and review code.
You document architecture, educate and coach other architects and software engineers.
You assist with the definition of the architecture strategy and roadmap.
You communicate proactively with customers, partners, prospects, and all roles within Avaloq.
What you need
MSc or PhD in software engineering or related area.
5+ years of professional experience.
Hands-on experience with cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
You are a team player and good communicator.
You speak fluent English

Experience working for a SaaS company, banking knowledge, experience with ERP solutions, database knowledge, and open-source contributions are a plus.
