THE POSITION 

SCB is the world’s leading low carbon commodity company with a mission to promote the adoption of a low carbon future. Working closely with the Operations and Finance teams, the Collections Analyst will perform back office support to our brokers, located in each of SCB’s 5 locations (Chicago, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, London, and Singapore), and to our clients located across the globe.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Monitor accounts to ensure receivables are current


• Apply payments received into the accounting system


• Reconcile payment remittances received


• Perform regular collection calls and/or emails with customers


• Research invoice discrepancies and resolve any issues with customers


• Reconcile monthly bank statements 


• Assist with invoice changes, invoice inquiries, and account statements


• Communicate any delinquent accounts to upper management and brokers


• Along with the Finance team, the individual will have interactions with SCB Control functions which may include Compliance, Risk, Audit and Accounts

• Strong technical and analytical skills


• Skilled in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook


• Experience creating spreadsheets and reports


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Results-oriented with personal accountability


• Excellent attention to detail, quality, and control


• A team player, who is also a self-starter, able to work on own initiative


• Able to manage all aspects of individual and team objectives and projects to execution  


• Strong problem-solving mindset

QUALIFICATIONS  

• University degree


• 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping
