Your Role
You will be leading all quality aspects of the H55 activities: process quality, production quality, purchasing quality, customer quality and systems design and quality.
An additional specific mission will be the POA compliance (Production Organization Approval) per EASA standards (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).
You will report initially to the CEO Specifically, you will be responsible for:
System Quality: lead the design and implementation of a lean H55 quality system and culture (vision and targets, standards and procedures, quality improvement plan, audits, etc.). Balancing the necessary discipline in execution and the H55 agile culture will be key.
Customer Quality: represent customers interests inside H55, communicate, alert and escalate all risks and issues to H55 leadership; ensure that all H55 quality interactions with customers are managed professionally: professional meetings preparation, clear and robust data, respect of commitments, etc.
Product and Process Design Quality: be accountable for all project related quality deliverables, in order to ensure the conformity of products, processes and equipment during development.
Production Quality: monitor the conformity of products processes and equipment in production; implement a QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) and Lessons Learned process.
Purchasing Quality: ensure that suppliers selection process takes quality performance into account, check that overall quality standards are respected by suppliers and that they have all necessary data and information from H55 in order to perform; make sure their quality concerns and improvement proposals are timely and properly managed by H55.
Point of contact with EASA for the PAO process: ensure efficient POA preparation (target date: end of 2021) and continuous compliance.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a high-level quality engineer in technology focused industries such as aeronautics, automotive, railway and/or electronics. Specifically, this includes:
Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electric/electronics engineering
Minimum 15 years of experience with a combination of quality functions and operational responsibilities in production, programs or purchasing
Success in driving operational excellence in quality and safety
Comfortable in dealing with customers, suppliers and contractors from a global supply chain
Demonstrated success in working as a team player, capable of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets
Expertise in lean and QRQC techniques
Demonstrated experience in EASA system (DOA, POA, MOA approved organizations)
