Overview


The Intern’s main responsibilities will be to support the Group Insurance and Treasury Middle and Bank Office teams various projects related to Group Insurance programs, claims and reporting, FX management, and Treasury processes & systems. The Intern will also be required to support with regular tasks such as data collection, aggregation and presentation enabling data analysis at management level. The intern will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, giving the right candidate international exposure and experience in business engagement and communication.

Responsibilities



  • Actively support the team in various projects

  • Manage projects to improve the information quality of the claims reporting tool. This entails your proactive engagement with LafargeHolcim Countries (e.g. Country CFOs, Treasurers), external loss adjusters and insurer’s claims specialists. The goal is to improve the qualitative information (e.g. root cause, involved parties) as well as quantitative information (e.g. claims value, third party costs)

  • Engage with Countries on local implementation of global programs and premium payments

  • Help with team administration and planning activities

  • Support the execution of month end related tasks such as data retrieve and aggregation from the systems

  • Support in captive and claims reporting across various LafargeHolcim departments


Education/Qualifications



  • Concluded insurance apprenticeship and/ or pursuing/achieved Master degree in business administration with a focus on financial accounting/controlling

  • Project management certification would be an advantage


Experience



  • Experience with project management would be an advantage

  • Basic knowledge of insurance programs and processes

  • Experience in larger multinational organisation


Knowledge & Skills



  • Advanced computer literacy: MS office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google tools. Knowledge of SAP Finance would be an advantage

  • Strong commitment to contribute to the team performance 

  • Very good spirit and eagerness to learn

  • Self starter with the ability to work independently


Language Requirements

English fluent; German and French would be an advantage
