IT Business Partner Finance / Project Manager ERP Implementation, CH-Basel

Are you a Project Manager who easily engages with business leaders, who understands business operations as well as key performance indicators needed to evaluate business performance and who anticipates data and reporting needs?

As IT Business Partner Finance, you will be responsible to take our finance, legal and HR systems and processes to the next level. Your strong technical aptitude paired with your deep understanding of financial processes, standards, and regulations will enable you to drive the ERP implementation and all subsequent developments. Of course, you have already demonstrated strong organizational and relationship building skills that foster a collaborative environment and you are aware of that these are key to deliver desired results in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the project management (end-to-end) for the ERP, HR and legal system implementation, incl. future developments and installation of additional functionalities


• Provide expertise and strategic partnership to the Finance, Legal and HR organization on business processes and technology opportunities


• Collaborate with various business partners to fully understand and document systems requirements to enhance and optimize system capabilities


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner with oversight from team members, apply best practices in problem solving


• Serve as key “Point of Contact” to stakeholders for any ERP-related operational issues/escalations/enhancements, collaborating with the Genedata IT team and external partners for effective delivery

The Successful Candidate Has

• Bachelor’s degree in data systems, accounting, finance or related discipline, MS or MBA preferred


• At least 5 to 10 years of related experience as a Finance/HR/Legal IT Business Partner preferably within a global software and/or consulting company


• Proven track record as global IT Project Manager, incl. evaluation, implementation and configuration experience on ERP platforms


• In-depth knowledge in IT for Finance, Legal and HR, implementation of core modules, including Enterprise Structure, Finance (GL, AP, AR), Project Management, Timesheets, Human Resources, Payroll, BI, Contract Management etc.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek alternatives, new ideas, and/or approaches to problems, and develop and implement solutions


• Must be adept at striking the right balance between independence and driving performance through/together with others
