Global Program Lead - Zurich

We are seeking a Global Program Lead to ensure the brand strategy for our one of leading nephrology products is translated into an operational plan and executed with focus on operational excellence. You are engaging, visible and directive and lead from the front, setting pace and direction. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Global Brand Team (GBT) Lead and other GBT members. You will report to the Head of Program and Alliance Management within the Corporate Strategy organisation. In this role your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Act as the Operational Lead of GBT meetings, ensuring efficient preparation, decision making and follow-up

  • Lead assigned cross-functional teams and/or special projects

  • Accountable to cross-functionally deliver Life Cycle Management program for assigned brand as per strategic GBT objectives

  • Lead cross-functional “Operations Sector” of GBT beyond 3M (Medical-Marketing-Market Access) functions

  • Own, oversee and map interdependencies in cross-functional team

  • Interact with relevant key stakeholders and decision making bodies 

  • Ensure operational excellence with regard to program schedule, cost and quality 

  • Create and maintain cross-functional plans as appropriate for complex deliverables, including but not limited to: operational plans, communication plans, resource plans, and risk management plans

  • Drive innovation in planning and delivery

  • Track activities and deliverables against agreed plans, identify and resolve issues (escalating where needed) and report program status to respective governance bodies in a timely manner

  • Coordinate and communicate between all extended functions 

  • Negotiate sub-agreements and amendments to contracts as required

The ideal candidate holds a Doctoral Scientific Degree in addition to the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years’ relevant industry experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project or alliance management 

  • Demonstrated ability to work without routine supervision to deliver key results 

  • Lateral leadership experience, able to lead cross-functional projects and motivate team members without hierarchical leadership

  • Successful cross-functional and intercultural working

  • Proven coordination and communication skills

  • Ability to convince team members and resolve conflicts

  • Professional level in English, in both oral and written communications

  • Willingness to undertake international travel

You are highly-engaged, proactive, and result- and solution-oriented with systematic working skills which enable you to work effectively under time pressure or in a changing environment. You are able to complete tasks to deadlines and prioritise conflicting demands. You demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking balanced with team-orientation; you can motivate team members and avoid/resolve conflicts. You foster good internal and external relationships based on trust and respect. You act as a role model for the Vifor Pharma Values.
