New Product Introduction (NPI) Procurement Manager


 


MISSION


 


As NPI Procurement Manager, you’ll work closely with R&D, Category Procurement Managers, and suppliers to design and implement a detailed sourcing plan for each new product introduction.  You will also help advance the effectiveness and continuous improvement of Procurement processes within our organization.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Own the NPI Sourcing Process for your products, including workflow, interfaces, metrics, and work plans to meet operational objectives

  • Ensure a timely Procurement Sourcing Plan, aligning the Bill of Materials (BOM) with approved suppliers

  • Recommend solutions to business problems and/or identify opportunities for improvement, and present ideas to senior leadership.

  • Work with Global Procurement team on new technology and/or supplier requirements when needed, and assist in driving prototype-to-production purchasing strategy

  • Drive process and system improvements to enhance sourcing plan process effectiveness, cost, and compliance

  • Scope out new suppliers for introduction to the Category Procurement team as necessary

  • Collaborate with Category Procurement teams to ensure appropriate supply agreements are in place

  • Contribute to Category Management spend strategies and action plans

  • Ensure compliance with governance processes and Purchasing Controls systems


 


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Physics or similar scientific background; APICS and/or PMP certification is a plus

  • Min. 3-5 years’ Procurement experience in a global Supply Chain organization with 3+ years Project Management experience; NPI experience is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills in English (min. C1) and French (min. B1); Fluency in German is a plus

  • Strong relationship-building skills and cultural sensitivity; ability to adapt communication style to a wide range of stakeholders

  • Good business acumen and technical understanding

  • Drive for results combined with flexibility and adaptability

  • Solution-oriented and analytical nature with an affinity for data-based decision-making
