THE ROLE


At Wella Procurement you are responsible for bringing the best ideas, talent and capability to support the company’s business needs.  Reporting into the Global Category Director you will develop and execute sourcing strategies which deliver best value in terms of innovation, quality, service, cost and cash. Procurement teams invest into relationships, they develop and manage important external business partner relationships to enable the delivery of the company’s plans and growth objectives. 


 


The role of Raw Materials Buyer - Silicones & Specialties,is to define and execute the sourcing strategy for the global categories in scope for the newly formed company. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the design and strategic choices in this area building upon previous strategies and experience while shaping them to fit the needs of a smaller and more agile business. This is an exciting moment to join the team and lead this spend segment for the newly established Wella Company.


 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Design, refine and implement sourcing strategies and strategic interventions across the 20M$ spend segment.

  • Work collaboratively with several functions to ensure the operational implementation of the strategies.



  • Implement Supplier Relation Management program and drive Year on Year improvement in quality, service, innovation and value.

  • Generate and execute solution to solve supply disruption issues.

  • Negotiate with suppliers the commercial terms and secure the supply fundamentals. Working closely with the legal department, you will ensure the contractual stewardship of your spend.

  • Preparing the saving plans through commercial achievements and technical interventions to deliver the fiscal year objectives as well as longer term interventions in the 3 year horizon.

  • Develop and maintain a business continuity plan for the most critical supply chains.

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship network with key internal stakeholders from several departments such as material supply, R&D, finance, legal, third party manufacturing and global procurement.

Key Requirements:


 



  • University degree, MSc degree level or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement, preferably from an FMCG environment.

  • Exposure to chemical ingredients or raw material is advantageous.



  • Team player with a positive attitude to create the right dynamic to achieve the defined objectives.

  • Pragmatic and fact-based decision maker to take rapidly the right course of action.

  • Autonomous with an ability to work in a fast-moving environment, highly adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.



  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels.

  • Fluency in English required, further languages are beneficial.
