The Global Insights & Analytics Manager (I&A) is a critical business partner for the commercial teams (marketing and market access), finance, supply chain planning and affiliates in gaining a deep understanding of the market and product dynamics and interpreting this into actions for the organization.


 


Job Responsibilities


 



  • Act as the analytics partner for a major launch brand for Idorsia

  • Set up optimal global data reporting structures (live dashboards visualizing primary/secondary data)  

  • Lead data contracting efforts across the global commercial team with secondary data providers

  • Maintain and populate long-term forecast models and ensure these are reflecting current data, insights and assumptions – in a collaborative and cross-functional manner

  • Implement and track core analysis concepts: e.g. SoB, persistency, stay-time, TRx/NBRx dynamics etc.

  • Distilling strategic customer insights by performing advanced analytics on a range of standardized data in the Pharmaceutical Industry e.g. EPI data, IQVIA/Symphony data (NPA, MIDAS, Xponent, LRx, EMR, US claims data – or similar)

  • Monitor the external environment to stay up to date on leading analytical capabilities, both within and outside of pharma, which can be applied within Idorsia 


 


Candidate’s Requirements


 


The ideal candidate has a strong business understanding and deep analytical and pharmaceutical insights combined with excellent communication skills. As such, the candidate who will qualify for this position is both technically sound and has the ability to be a proactive internal consultant. The candidate needs to be able to add value to the company's commercial organization beyond the analytical prowess through an understanding of secondary data applications, deep industry knowledge and track record of innovative and impactful decision support. 


 



  • Master’s Degree in Life Science and/or Economics, Social Science, Business

  • 6+ years of analytical experience in pharma or related fields, min. 3 years specifically in pharmaceutical Insights and analytics

  • Experience in driving secondary analytics projects with external vendors

  • Experience with building out reporting of in-market sales/volume data at the global level, through structured data warehousing and flexible online dashboarding

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functionally and manage multiple, complex demands, including at the affiliate level

  • Strong business acumen and sense of urgency in sharing critical information with relevant stakeholders

  • Expert knowledge in core analyses concepts in pharma 

  • Experience utilizing a range of standard data in the Pharmaceutical Industry 

  • Flexibility to manage projects and vendors in a fast-changing environment

  • Demonstrate reportable accomplishments around converting derived strategic insight into action 

  • Strategic thinker with superior problem-solving skills

  • Experience w. European healthcare system and/or markets

  • Proven ability to perform complex international forecasting and analytics projects

  • Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and project management skills

  • Experience acting as an insights partner in pharma

  • Specialty and mass-market experience a plus

  • Advanced analytics capabilities/skills a plus

  • Experience driving market research to support launch products a plus

  • English: fluent, spoken and written (essential)
