Innovative Environmental Services (IES) Ltd is an independent GLP-certified Contract
Research Organization (CRO) with its headquarters in Witterswil, close to the city of Basel
in Switzerland. We perform Environmental Fate, Metabolism, Ecotoxicological and Analytical
Chemistry Testing to support the development, registration and stewardship of
agrochemicals, chemical products and pharmaceuticals.

We are looking for an experienced and well versed professional as:

Senior Study Director - Aquatic Ecotoxicology

Your main responsibilities:

• Providing Study Direction in aquatic ecotoxicology under consideration of Good
  Laboratory Practice (GLP) as well as international guidelines (OECD)


• Conduct lower and higher-tier laboratory studies with aquatic organisms, including
  studies on endocrine disruptor effects with fish and amphibians


• Responsible for the overall design, scientific and technical conduct of studies, including
  interpretation, analysis, documentation and reporting of results


• Communicate with international clients and provide scientific consultation


• General administrative work and laboratory tasks under GLP

Requirements:

• Advanced university degree (PhD, MSc) in Ecotoxicology, Biology preferred, or
  equivalent qualification


• 5 or more years of relevant Study Director's experience in a CRO or the agrochemical
  industry are a prerequisite


• Scientific expertise in aquatic ecotoxicology and experience in performing the above
  listed studies in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) are essential


• Strong project, time and client management skills


• Excellent communication (verbal and written), teamwork and interpersonal skills


• Excellent English language skills (spoken and written); German would be an asset
