We Offer

 

  • A challenging and exciting position as Compliance Officer in the IB Compliance Switzerland department, which is responsible for providing compliance advice and monitoring of the Trading & Sales business located in Switzerland.

  • As an independent function, you will monitor business activities and perform regular and ad-hoc compliance monitoring activities and risk assessments in order to minimize potential risks to the bank’s reputation and the violation of laws and regulations.

  • You will maintain a working knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements (e.g. MiFiD II, FinfraG, FIDLEG, Dodd Frank, Volcker Rule, etc.) and stock exchange rules applicable to the Trading & Sales business and provide advice and guidance with regards to these requirements and any changes to the Trading & Sales business.

  • You have the chance to participate in compliance related projects, initiatives and working groups. 

  • As an internal project manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing and executing the function’s change initiatives.

  • Provide consulting services to management as well as colleagues in the implementation and supervision of compliance topics. 

  • Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements and document your assessments in Compliance reports.

  • Cooperate and work collaboratively with relevant authorities and stock exchanges.

  • Develop and issue policies and conduct compliance trainings.

  • You will be part of a highly motivated team in a global, diverse and very dynamic environment.

You Offer

 

  • Higher Education (FH/University degree, preferably in economics or law and/or specific compliance training, e.g. Diploma of Advanced Studies in Compliance Management).

  • Sound knowledge of financial products and markets.

  • Multiple years of experience in banking, Compliance and / or Audit; experience in Trading & Sales functions would be an additional asset.

  • You combine a solution orientated and pragmatic approach with analytical skills and the ability to work thoroughly and independently. 

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to help drive successful plans and solutions.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel - Pivot, Vlookup -; PowerPoint) is a plus.

  • You are a good communicator and enabler with a proactive approach who takes full ownership of his / her area of responsibility.

  • As a trustworthy team player with strong organisational skills, concern for quality, timeliness and accuracy you are able to contribute to the team’s success.

  • Your strong interpersonal, presentation and relationship-management skills, incl. the ability to partner with and influence colleagues at all levels enable you to quickly gain trust and build up effective relationships.

  • You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive, empathetic personality and can-do attitude who enjoys handling multiple challenging priorities and assignments and is able to take clear decisions.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory, good command of German desired.
