Primary Function of Position:


 


As part of the EMEA HR team, the Benefits Analyst will play a key role in the administration of employee benefits and working closely with the Total Rewards Manager EMEA supporting the development and implementation of local benefits programs for the EMEA region (17+countries)  including health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs.


This individual will partner internally with the HR operations, Payroll & Finance teams, and the regional HRBP, as well as externally with our different insurance and service providers.


 


Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Administer employee insurance coverage onboarding and off boarding (health, pension, short and long-term disability, life insurance, etc); open and follow events/case claim

  • Maintains third party applications as required;

  • Collaborate with HR operations/ Payroll teams to ensure relevant and timely action are undertaken regarding leave of absence coverage;

  • Administer insurances and brokerage contracts (ensuring timely archiving  and compliance to Data Privacy and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), payments, benefit premium billing and invoicing reconciliation ;

  • Participate to development of country leave policies;

  • Creates ad-hoc reports needed to monitor benefits  and/ or make benefits decisions as necessary;

  • Organize regular review sessions with insurance vendor /  brokers;

  • Answer / Point of contact for employees / Management on benefits questions;

  • Escalate issues when necessary and make recommendations for corrective or alternative actions to be resolve benefits related issue;

  • Perform in collaboration with payroll team audit and maintain benefits country inventory and overview;

  • Support monitoring of compliance with local country laws to ensure company adherence; Participates in annual benefit program review and contribute to new and / or update benefits related policies respecting the country specificities;

  • Maintain update company’s benefits programs documentation on internal platforms;

  • Coordinate country employee benefits information sessions and participate / review the supporting material training / tools;

  • Collaborate with regional HR Representatives (HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, HR BP etc) and Finance Payroll team to successfully enable employee and manager understanding of existing or new benefits programs, processes and systems;

  • Participate in market analysis, survey and benchmark information;

  • Participates in mergers and acquisitions to ensure benefits are properly integrated;

  • Participate in special benefits or Total Rewards projects on an ad hoc basis.


 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:


 



  • At least 5+ years of Benefits experience in a similar role in an international, fast growing and matrix environment with a university degree in HR or business administration;

  • Working knowledge of EU country labor law governing employee benefits experience required; Shared services exposure and experience in Medical Device or MedTech company is a plus;

  • A service oriented mindset and passion for improving employee customer experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, initiate and identify solution; Ability to find answers where there is a lack of knowledge

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (oral, written, interpersonal);

  • Ability to prioritize and seamlessly manage a high volume of activities and requests from multiple sources in a time sensitive environment;

  • Strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills;

  • Self-Starter; Collaborative, team player attitude;

  • Fluent in English and French/German, another EU language an asset;

  • Strong skills MS-Office and HRIS tools
