POSITION SUMMARY:


This position is responsible for generating Flood Warning Network and SaaS Data Management Solution sales growth with hydrological customers across Europe by working as part of a team that sells and supports a complete solution consisting of SaaS data management software, water quantity/quality sensors, data loggers, and transmitters.  Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in targeted customer accounts and strategic partners. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.  This strategic business development role will support OTT Hydromet’s full solution growth initiative and will provide a path to a Key Account Manager role.


Responsibilties:



  • Develop and maintain; Sales goals and objectives that are in alignment with the company goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain; Annual Sales operations plan and objectives.

  • Initiate new projects and sales opportunities.

  • Advance existing opportunities to next stages together with the responsible sales territory manager or channel partner.

  • Focus on customer experience, visualize the future and make customers life easier.

  • Proof to the customer how it works by using references, product demonstrations, on-site visits, movies etc.

  • Manage interdepartmental communication, especially when a situation is stuck.

  • Regularly visit on-site customers on a weekly or bi-weekly base

  • Help build an environment that encourages creativity, operates with honesty and fairness, and is open to new ideas, and encourages and solicits contribution of ideas

  • Promote concept of serving internal and external customers with quality service in a timely manner.

  • Support learning; Be a mentor in the areas that you have strengths and create opportunities for learning to occur with others.


Qualifications



  • Advanced German and English skills

  • An undergraduate degree is required with no preference about the specific subject.

  • Needs to be able to learn the fundamentals of the technology (hardware and software) to present it to customers and answer to their standard questions (for detailed or complex questions the support of the service team will be available)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of solid, progressive sales or business development experience within an organization known for having a progressive sales function.

  • Formal sales training is preferred with strong preference given to exposure to value selling concepts and real customer needs Focus.

  • Delivers results; demonstrated track record of driving sales growth, customer expansion and market share growth

  • Process orientation with a proven track record of profitable growth and an excellent reputation for leadership in value-based selling process

  • Excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen with ability to balance the needs of the market place with sound business judgment
