About the Role


The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for all tasks related to the employee life cycle including recruiting, on-boarding, payroll, and benefits. The HRBP is also responsible for developing and maintaining Company policies that comply with all federal, state, and local regulations. Furthermore, this role supports line managers in matters related to people and organizational development.


This permanent position is based at our office in Basel, Switzerland.


Your Responsibilities



  • Responsible to manage the full employee’s life cycle, including onboarding of new employees, people development, and performance management

  • Manage and explain benefits and employment requirements to employees; serve as liaison between employees, insurance providers, and local authorities

  • Maintain employee leave programs (e.g. parental, maternity, and sick leave in compliance with applicable laws)

  • Supervise and track employee’s time and attendance account

  • Support recruitment and hiring activities incl. interaction with authorities (focus on Switzerland, France, and Germany), preparation of new hire packages, and management of work visa matters

  • Provide reports and ensure necessary documentation incl. maintenance of HR databases, employee files, etc.

  • Prepare (and process) payroll for Switzerland/Germany on a semi-monthly basis and processes wage garnishments as required.


Skills & Experience



  • Minimum BA or equivalent experience in Human Resources Management or related field

  • Eidgenössischer Fachausweis Personal (CH) or certified Personalfachmann/-frau preferred

  • 3+ years’ experience in human resources incl. payroll

  • Sound knowledge of Swiss labor and social insurance law (incl. pension systems) as well as of immigration processes and procedures associated with work visas

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with a diverse group of external visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization

  • Solid understanding of MS-Office, interest in Social Media and new technologies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English (French or any other EU language is a plus)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, while participating as part of a team
