The Real-World Insights team is continuing to grow rapidly and we are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for health care, who wants to take their next career step into health care consulting as an Consultant in our Basel office.


Here you will join a high profile, talented and fast paced team and work together with other Analysts, Consultants and Senior Consultants to lead the design, development and delivery of large, technical RWI projects while also gaining exposure to a client-facing position. The successful candidate will be able to achieve rapid professional development, learning from and being coached by members of the world’s leading and most innovative RWI team.


Your missions



  • Take responsibility for project streams relating to the RWI business areas (data sourcing, health economics, PROs, outcomes research, statistical analysis, market access strategy, value communication)


  • Work with the team to ensure the projects are delivered to a high standard which meets or exceeds client expectations.


  • Assist with the review and analysis of client requirements and take part to the development of proposals and client solutions.


  • Design and execute quantitative analyses with perfect accuracy and outstanding quality, run analytics on large scale data sets of real-world health care data.


  • Understand and communicate the “story behind the numbers” through presentations, reports, publications: together with the team, you will draw compelling insights to support our clients.


  • Manage the design, structure and completion of presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the clients.


  • Develop and present complete client deliverables within your area of responsibilities.


  • Contribute to the growth of the business for IQVIA, by supporting your team in developing new offers and solutions.



Your Profile



  • University degree, preferably in a subject with a strong quantitative and/or business orientation e.g. MSc or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Medical Sciences or Statistics,


  • First experience of 2-3 years on a similar position in healthcare consulting, with demonstrated project management skills at multi-country level


  • Experience with Ethics Committees approval of studies (RWE or Market Research) is highly appreciated


  • Consulting-type approach on problems and client-oriented mindset, with strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Problem-solving personality, who enjoys being intellectually challenged


  • Experience in working with large databases and ability to produce reports based on retrospective data


  • Strong analytical mindset, used to deal with numbers and statistics; experience with analytics software, e.g. R, SQL, SAS or STATA is a must


  • Fluent in English (spoken and written at a business/scientific level); other languages are a plus
