Global ESG Specialist

 

The Global ESG Specialist will be responsible for driving ESG strategic initiatives across the Landis+Gyr organization.The incumbent will understand the ESG landscape frameworks, assess areas of innovation in ESG solutions to better identify opportunities, and coordinate the environmental and social initiatives across all operating locations.

 
Overall Objectives:
The incumbent will support the promotion of enterprise wide ESG goals with a focus on execution, project management and reporting. He/she will demonstrate an understanding and passion for ESG topics and will be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking within a global landscape. Core responsibilities include the following:

• Staying abreast of ESG developments, competitor positioning, investor needs, customer initiatives and collaborating with other internal stakeholders on developing products / solutions / strategies


• Leading and motivating ESG workstreams across the organization to ensure consistency, integration and executable outcomes, including an impact on organizational culture 


• Supporting the internal and external marketing, investor relations and communication initiatives related to ESG, including ownership of the topic for the Annual Sustainability Report


• Participating in various working groups to develop leadership, and to further embed Landis+Gyr’s global role and positioning in the ESG landscape

 
Expectations for Skills & Experience:

• Experience with UN Global Compact and GRI norms; related ESG certifications a plus 


• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills


• Experience with ESG strategy development and implementation, notably experience gained in either the ESG/sustainability consulting sector, or in a corporate environment operating in an industrial sector


• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to highlight trends and communicate important messages, coupled with a proven track-record in project management


• The ability to think in a commercial, creative and pragmatic way


• Gravitas, credibility and the ability to influence internally and externally


• Intercultural sensitivity


• Fluent written and oral English and German; all other languages a plus
